A global technology organisation is looking for a Security Response Lead to take ownership of coordinating security incidents and supporting response efforts. This role is ideal for someone moving up from SOC or incident response work who wants to take the lead during active situations without needing full managerial experience.

The Role

You’ll guide incident activities, organise technical specialists, and ensure clear communication throughout security events. Working alongside experienced responders, you’ll help drive progress, track actions, and support continuous improvement of internal processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact during significant security incidents.
  • Coordinate tasks and updates between technical teams.
  • Prepare short incident summaries and status reports.
  • Assist with follow-up actions and documentation after events.
  • Help improve playbooks and response procedures.
  • Support practice exercises and scenario drills.
  • Maintain oversight of timelines, risks, and decisions.
  • Occasionally assist with business continuity testing

Skills & Experience

• 2–3 years’ experience in SOC, incident response, or similar.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to remain structured under pressure.
  • Understanding of common attack behaviours and response workflows.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
